Dear friends, family, and extended community,

The Wick family (Scott, Amy, Austin, and Cambry) faced a tragic medical emergency on Saturday, January 18, when Scott suffered a massive heart attack and went into cardiac arrest. Since that evening, Scott has been in ICU, currently intubated and sedated while connected to ECMO to allow his heart and lungs to rest and heal. Methodist Hospital will be transporting him from The Woodlands to the medical center downtown so he can get the highest level of care. The latest Amy has been told is that Scott is critically ill and will be in the hospital for a prolonged period of time.

Scott was recently laid off which led to a lapse in health insurance before this horrific event. This amazing family of four is facing a variety of challenging variables, so we are hoping this account can help fund the various expenses that are associated with this type of medical emergency and just daily living. Our goal is to relieve these burdens so Amy’s focus can be on helping Scott heal and caring for Cambry and Austin.
