These are my dear friends, Kyle & Edee Whitaker and their three beautiful children-Henry (15), Adri (12) and Roman (7). This beautiful family needs our help!
In February Kyle was diagnosed with Bulbar Onset ALS - a rare and aggressive form of ALS that begins in the face, neck and airway before rapidly progressing through the rest of the body . Ultimately, Kyle's life is limited to approximately 1-2 years. He has already experienced major changes that have deeply impacted both him and his family. His no longer able to work and requires assistance in many areas of everyday life. It is crushing and devastating for them all.
Having helped people his whole life-as a Drug Counselor, Interventionist, Volunteer Firefighter and most recently a UPS Driver with a route of families he knows personally-he and his family are deserving of all the love and support we can give them.
The emotional, physical and financial burden of ALS is awful. There are medical expenses, specialized equipment, treatments, lost income, future care needs and the road ahead will be incredibly difficult. This GoFundMe is a way we can alleviate some of those burdens and allow the family to create wonderful memories in the time they have left with Kyle; a beloved husband and father.
