Dear friends,

On Friday morning, Beckett Wernig was walking to the bus stop when he was hit by a car as he crossed the street. He sustained multiple injuries, including a fractured hip, wrist, a broken nose, and several teeth knocked out. He was life-flighted to the med center where he had surgery on Friday evening to repair his fractures. He is upbeat despite this serious trauma, and the Wernigs already feel the love from the outpouring of well-wishes for his full recovery.

As you can imagine, this will be a very long road for their family as Beckett will have to be in a wheelchair for some time while his hip heals, and he can then begin to rehab from this unthinkable accident. We all know how much Beckett loves the sport of swimming - so being out of the water will be especially difficult.

For the short term, we wanted to collect funds to help alleviate any financial burdens they are facing. We know any amount will be greatly appreciated.
