Todd and Delmy Webb and their children, Frank and Robin, lived on St. Pete Beach and owned a second home a couple of blocks away that Todd’s mother, Marjorie, lived in.
The storm surge that accompanied Hurricane Helene brought 5 feet of water through both houses and destroyed the contents of both homes.
That damage was minor compared to the drowning death of Marjorie.
Although she was urged to evacuate, the 79-year-old woman didn’t want to burden anyone and chose to stay.
Todd is an airline pilot who lost his ability to work because of a medical condition and has been on disability for several years.
As a former US Army Officer, his homes were insured through USAA, but unbeknownst to him, there was no contents coverage, so everything inside is lost.
Without the ability to earn a living in his chosen profession, it is next to impossible to recover. Any donation will help, thank you for your consideration.
Todd is a former copilot of mine and I can honestly say that he is one of the nicest, most upbeat guys I know. I live about 30 miles north of the Webb family and can see first hand the destruction caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
