Wall Street Theater is an incredible historic venue in which to come together in song, dance, and laughter. The staff and volunteers work hard for you, and when we see you enjoying yourselves, it validates our effort, and we strive to keep providing you with more music to enjoy.
The theater at 71 Wall Street is an institution in Fairfield County that has operated for over 100 years, and we need your support to continue. By contributing, you will ensure that we can keep providing live music right here in Norwalk, CT, and ensure our growth and success.
Here's the scoop: We can only achieve our mission with your support.
The Wall Street Theater is an entirely nonprofit theater. Through your generous donations, we are able to present professional music, comedy, and stage performances among our many offerings. With your financial support, we can provide a platform for local emerging artists to grow and share their talents with the world. Your support enables us to keep ticketing fees down and make sure tickets are reasonably priced so that we can all enjoy events together. We can continue to contribute to the economic viability of the Wall Street area of Norwalk, but we can only do that if you make a generous contribution to ensure our shared future.
Right now, we have operational expenses beyond our working budget, and any way we slice it, we are coming up short.
Stage light bulbs need replacing, the HVAC system needs service, and utility costs have skyrocketed. I wish it were different, but it’s that kind of mundane reality that we work with that ensures a special time when you visit us. Almost all of the funding we receive comes from ticket sales, with generous donors such as yourself helping when it's needed most. But when COVID-19 spikes dampen attendance, or when horrible weather keeps people at home, the show must still go on.
The Wall Street Theater is your local theater. It’s been here for over 100 years. Help us to make it thrive.
The presence of the Wall Street Theater in the community is excellent. We employ 37 local people at the theater. Those people are your friends, maybe even your family. We bring the community talent ranging from internationally famous musicians to youth dance schools experiencing the joy of performance. We are the anchor of a vital neighborhood in Norwalk, attracting good people like you to those restaurants and shops you see popping up in the Wall Street neighborhood.
We help bring people to the neighborhood…a lot of people, over 100,000 people a year. This is all really good stuff that we will keep doing with your help today.
Put simply, we need your financial support with a donation today. We also want you to purchase tickets to live music and to come out and have a great time. Tell everyone you know that what we do here at the theater is important and that live music is essential to the community. That the Wall Street area of Norwalk is important. Today, your contribution means everything to us.
We urgently need financial assistance to ensure our operations, and you are the key to that success.
I hope you will make a generous donation. Your contribution is tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.
We've got some great shows coming up and I hope you will put live music on your calendar.
Visit our events calendar to see what’s coming up and to purchase tickets.
Thank you for reading my letter to the end. It's long, but sometimes you just have a lot to say. It is my passion to see the theater and the community around it thrive. Let's not miss a beat!
Thank you in advance for your generous support!
Sincerely,
