After years of fertility treatments, we were blessed with our miracle baby, Barrett. Words can’t fully express how much joy he has brought into our lives. Every second with him has been a precious gift, and we will never forget the long road we traveled to bring him into this world.

Earlier this year, we decided to try for another child through IVF. Unfortunately, our most recent transfer was unsuccessful. Our doctors have since recommended new testing and treatments that weren’t available during our previous journey with Barrett.

As many of you know, IVF is not only emotionally and physically draining, but it’s also incredibly expensive. After our first few years of failed IVF, I took on a second job specifically for fertility coverage to be able to afford doing more retrievals. We both worked extra hours to pour everything we had into making our dream come true.

Now, facing the reality that Barrett may be our only child, we find ourselves in a heartbreaking position — choosing between working more to afford treatment (and missing out on precious time with him), or waiting and saving slowly while watching our chances for success diminish with time.

After much thought and prayer, we’ve decided to open up and ask for help. We’re using this platform to raise funds for the additional testing and treatments needed to move forward with another transfer later this year. Our hope is to give Barrett a sibling and to grow our family once more.
