The second annual Boston Progressive Jazz Festival (BPJF) will feature a variety of artists across backgrounds and styles. "Progressive Jazz" describes any music that views Jazz as integral to its heritage and origin without necessarily being defined by it as a genre. BPJF seeks to promote local artists that fall under this philosophy while simultaneously building a community around this vision and fostering the Boston music scene.
Our first year as a festival saw great success and was entirely funded internally. This year, we are expanding it to two nights.
Although the team at BPJF is working hard to fund the festival alone, it will not be possible without the support of others. If our philosophy resonates with you, we hope you'll consider supporting our vision. With a minimum donation of $5, you'll receive a limited edition BPJF holographic sticker and a note from our team. These donations will aid in the payment of operation costs for the festival. Thank you for your consideration and generosity.
Sincerely,
Ali Tahir, David Wright, and Niko Malinowski
The Team at BPJF
This event is made possible by a grant from the Somerville Arts Council in conjunction with the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
