Support the VanSants After Tragic Fire

Early morning, around 2 am Monday, April 28th, Douglas and Nicole VanSant’s home caught fire. Currently, there are speculations, but the cause of the fire is undetermined.

Long story short...

Nicole woke up in the middle of the night to a sound which she thought was someone at the door. She then woke up Douglas, and as he looked out the window, he quickly learned his home & yard were on fire. As the smoke and flames poured into their home, they had to cease their efforts looking for Seminole (Yorkie).

With only the clothes on their back, Doug, Nicole, and Bojangles (black lab) made it out the back door safely. The home was on fire for nearly an hour before firefighters were able to locate Seminole (Yorkie). He lived! Temporarily, the VanSants have sheltered with family.

Emotionally, they are recovering. Physically, they are unharmed. God is good.

All of the contents in their home are a total loss due to smoke, fire, and water damage. Structurally, their home is unrepairable. They will have to rebuild from the ground up. Any financial support will be greatly appreciated as all donations will go towards their day-to-day necessities and home build. They will be facing many obstacles, including an estimated cost in the thousands to haul off all of the debris/home.
