Support the Valkyrie Dance Project's Epic Show!

Introducing the Valkyrie Dance Project, a Norse-inspired fusion dance project that combines fire dancing, sword, and stage combat to create a story of heroic adventure.

Featuring over 20 local dancers, the Valkyrie Dance Project started as a six-woman dance idea at Midgard at the Mill in the fall of 2024.

This year, the Project is a fully fleshed out 20-minute dance set that begins in celebration of the love between a bawdy wench and her lusty monk ("love" is used lightly!).

The revelry is interrupted when Viking raid the village and burn the town.

Our sword dancers answer the call to adventure through a powerful dance, and then both sides clash in a final battle that includes a dagger fight.

The story closes in celebration.

To bring the story more deeply to life, the Project is raising funds to finish building the backdrops, add lighting, and add additional safety measures to our fire performance.
