Cristine was a loving, gentle, and courageous woman who touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. Born with autism and a rare epilepsy disorder, Cristine faced life with incredible strength and an unshakable faith in God. Despite her challenges, she radiated love, joy, and peace. Her smile could light up a room, and her spirit reminded everyone who met her of God’s pure and unconditional love.

This coming December 31, Cristine would have celebrated her 39th birthday. Though her time on earth was shorter than anyone wished, her life was full of meaning, purpose, and love that continues to ripple through her family and all who were blessed to know her.

Over this past year, Cristine’s body began to slow down. She faced increasing challenges with her health and eventually lost control of her legs. Even through those difficult moments, her family remained by her side with love, comfort, and faith. They prayed with her, cared for her daily needs, and reminded her she was never alone.

For the past 38 years, Cristine was cared for with constant love and devotion by her family. Her mother, brothers, and sisters surrounded her with compassion, patience, and faith that reflected the true meaning of family. Every moment was shared in love, from quiet nights of prayer to joyful family gatherings that kept Cristine smiling through it all.

When her health began to decline more severely earlier this year, the Valiente family gathered together in Oahu, Hawaii, to remain by her side at Queens Medical Center West, where they held her hand and prayed with her until her peaceful passing.

The family is now preparing for her viewing and cremation service at Valley of the Temple in Kaneohe, followed by a Celebration of Life to honor her memory and the love she gave so freely.

Cristine is survived by her loving parents Henry and Teresita Valiente, and her siblings Freddie Valiente, Grace and Eric Mizushima, Mary Ann and Joey Valiente, and Henry Valiente Jr. She will forever remain the heart of the Valiente Ohana.
