This year was the year I planned on spending the holidays with my Grandma Flor. I used to spend every holiday with her until COVID-19 hit the US as hard as it did. Unfortunately, that won't be able to happen nor will it be able to happen again. My grandmother passed away unexpectedly at the end of October leaving behind her 3 dogs. With her life insurance being lapsed and the family struggling to pay her debt, we are asking for help. We are trying to make sure we don't lose her house along with trying to paying for funeral arrangements.

For those who knew my grandma, she was such a strong-willed woman with a strong personality to follow She was someone who always gave her opinion, no matter who you were. She always made friends wherever she went. She told the best stories and always made sure everyone felt loved. She helped raise me to be the woman I am today and I am so thankful I had the time I did with her. Even with a traumatic childhood, my grandmother made sure that I felt happy, loved, and protected. There's no amount of thanks I could say to her that would show how much she meant to me. We all miss her dearly. No one thought this would be the year we would lose her.
