Hello Everyone!
The UConn Ski Team has wrapped up another incredible season competing in the highly competitive MacConnell Division! Our women’s team secured 3rd place overall, while the men’s team finished 4th. This season took us all over the Northeast, racing at Okemo, Proctor, Whiteface, West, Berkshire East, and Catamount.
This past weekend, we traveled to Sugarloaf Mountain for the Eastern Regional Championship, going up against top athletes from the MacConnell, McBrine, Reynolds, and Thompson divisions. We are thrilled to share that we brought home some amazing results (and some hardware)!
The men’s team won the 2025 Eastern Championship GS title and finished 3rd overall for the weekend! The women’s team also had a fantastic performance, taking 3rd place in the slalom!
Additionally we had multiple individuals in the top 20:
Ian Hanrahan - 2nd overall (2nd in GS & 3rd in SL
)
Dante Mulcahy - 4th in GS
Colby Rathbone - 10th in GS
Preston Bolus - 18th in SL
Hadley Prewitt - 6th in SL
Abby Horning - 14th in SL
Kendall Schulz - 15th in SL
Thanks to our outstanding Regionals performance, we are thrilled to announce that we have qualified for USCSA Nationals at Mt. Bachelor, Oregon, from March 10th-15th!
This is an incredible opportunity, but it also comes with significant costs. Each athlete must cover a $540 entry fee, plus expenses for flights, lodging, food, and transportation. While UConn provides some support, it won’t fully cover the costs—especially with Nationals being across the country this year. Your donation will go directly to supporting us with these expenses. The funds will be distributed amongst all of the athletes to reimburse our out of pocket expenses!
Our incredible friends, family, and alumni have always been so generous, and we truly appreciate any support you can offer. If you’re able, please consider donating to our GoFundMe to help offset our out-of-pocket expenses and ensure we can compete at Nationals. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference!
Thank you for your continued support—we couldn’t do this without you.
Let’s go Huskies!
