I became president of California Theological Seminary in Buena Park, CA in June 2025 after retiring from the U.S. Army as a chaplain. I earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Southern Baptiest Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY in 1986, while on active duty. I also hold a Masters of Strategic Studies from the Army War College. I am a Board Certified Chaplain.
For fifty years, California Theological Seminary has stood as a testimony to God’s faithfulness—training men and women for ministry, equipping them with biblical conviction, and sending them out tuition free to serve churches, communities, and nations. Every pastor, missionary, counselor, and servant leader who has graduated from CTS has done so because someone like you believed in the power of Christian education.
Today, we have 66 students enrolled in our B.A., M.A., and M.Div. programs, and this June we will joyfully celebrate 16 graduates stepping into the world to preach Christ and shepherd His people.
Since becoming President in June 2025, I have witnessed the sacrificial love offerings and sacrifice that have sustained this seminary for half a century. CTS operates entirely on donations and volunteer service.
As we look to the future, God is calling us to take a bold step of faith. To pursue accreditation with ABHE and ATS, and to provide the level of academic excellence our students deserve, we must expand our staff and strengthen our infrastructure. This requires approximately $60,000 per month—far beyond what our current donor base can sustain, but not beyond what God can do.
I am praying that the Lord will open the hearts of new benefactors like you, who share our vision for raising up Christ centered leaders who will impact our nation and the world. Would you prayerfully consider becoming a partner by making donations of any size? Your generosity today will directly shape the pastors, missionaries, and Christian leaders of tomorrow. May God bless you richly!
