Support The Tropical Grill's Comeback in Spruce Pine

My name is Natasha Garland and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my mom and dad, Sam and Claudia Rothman, and their restaurant, The Tropical Grill.

This past week has been the most devastating time that this county has ever had to go through. It is impossible to describe the pain and loss that everyone is experiencing right now, but the way everyone has rallied together to support each other is beyond amazing.

Due to the loss of power at their restaurant, they chose to fire up the kitchens grill and fryer so that they could cook off any remaining food they had prior to the storm before it spoiled and bless the people in the town of Spruce Pine with a free hot meal.

My parents have been blessed to not have experienced damage to their restaurant which has given them the opportunity to continue serving Mitchell County and all who come to help. But now they have nothing left since they have depleted their entire inventory of food to all who needed it.

The latest update is that power will be restored this Friday Oct 4th (my moms birthday) and they want to reopen the restaurant so that they can continue feeding the local community, all the amazing volunteers, first responders and lineman, as well as give their employees a sense of purpose and their jobs back.

My parents have been serving Mitchell County and all who visit for over 13 years, but now they need our help to get back on their feet to reopen their restaurant.

I am so grateful for every donation, share and prayer that brings them closer to being able to open their doors again.
