On what was meant to be a peaceful trip overseas, the Trifunovic family suffered an unimaginable tragedy. Milorad “Mico” Trifunovic, a beloved father, husband, and friend, passed away unexpectedly while on a flight to Serbia. His loss has left his family devastated, shocked, and facing a situation no one could have ever prepared for.

During a time when the family should be grieving and supporting each other, they are now faced with the overwhelming challenge of bringing Mico’s body back to the United States. International repatriation is an extremely expensive and complicated process — involving legal clearances, international transport, and funeral arrangements across two countries.

Mico was a man known for his warm heart, quiet strength, and the love he carried for his family and friends. He worked hard his entire life and touched so many people with his kindness and generosity. His family’s greatest wish is to bring him home to America so they can honor him with the burial he deserves — a place close enough for them to visit, reflect, and keep his memory alive.
