Hi! We are the Board of Directors for the TreeHouse Clovis Parent Cooperative Preschool and we are humbly asking for your help.

Our beloved cooperative recently faced some unexpected challenges. At the end of July, the Department of Social Services (DSS) formally informed us we could not continue to operate until we obtained a childcare license, despite our license-exempt status.

From the time our preschool was founded in 2007, we have diligently structured our unique parent cooperative so that it qualifies for an exemption from licensure, as parents are the primary caregivers and supervisors for their children while on-site.

We have been working tirelessly this summer to resolve this issue in hopes that we can reopen again this fall. We've engaged legal counsel to navigate this complex situation and have submitted a detailed operations proposal to DSS, outlining how our structure fully aligns with their guidelines for parent-run cooperative preschools. However, this legal process comes with significant costs.

To ensure we can cover the necessary legal fees and continue our fight, we are humbly asking for your financial support. Every contribution, no matter the size, will directly help us cover these expenses and bring us closer to welcoming children back to TreeHouse.
