Support the Travel Club's Next Adventure to...Monterey Bay!

After our first year (we traveled to Reno and played in the snow near Lake Tahoe in 2024), the Going Places! Travel Club at Thurgood Marshall Academic High School has grown! We now have 10 students in the club, which is so wonderful because more students now have the opportunity to learn about the adventures and joys of traveling, BUT with that increase we also need to raise more money.

This year we are traveling to Monterey Bay. We plan to visit the world-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, and spend some time kayaking in the bay to get a closer look at the marine life. We have chosen to stay at accommodations closer to the "action," and as you know, such accommodations do not come cheap. The majority of the funds we raise will cover this. We'll use the remainder of the funds to have a group dinner--with some sustainable local seafood, too!

Our trip is coming up soon and we have raised a large portion of the funds already. We are graciously asking for your help during our final push to fund this travel adventure.
