Support the Toomire Family's Recovery

We are reaching out to our community for temporary assistance on behalf of the wonderful Toomire Family. Rob, Nichelle, and Jason (15) are dear friends who have been displaced by the Palisades Fire and are currently staying with us in Hermosa Beach. Rob and Nichelle are fixtures of the Palisades and Corpus Christi community, and their amazing son Jason is a standout sophomore at Loyola High School.

There are countless cases of tragedy in Los Angeles right now, but we hope you will consider helping our friends and their unique situation. The Toomires are living out the quandary many of us have contemplated over the past week; their townhome in the Palisades is still standing... but when will it be occupiable (6 months? 9 months? 12 months?)? How much damage is there? What is salvageable from a personal effects standpoint? Where will they live in the meantime? These are the gray areas that insurance and FEMA do not address, but they are challenging and affecting many families impacted by these devastating fires.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help the Toomires “bridge the gap” between this awful tragedy and the long road ahead to normalcy. We hope you will consider helping this wonderful family during this critical time.
