Norman and Debbie Timbs own Shady Creek Ranch Horse Barn in Arlington, TN. Sadly, on July 26 they lost everything in a devastating fire. The building was reduced to ashes, killing 9 beloved horses. The fire took not only their horses' lives, but countless keepsakes, awards, and items that were collected over the span of 27 years that can never be replaced. This barn was not only their livelihood but their heart. Norman and Debbie have traveled for years to compete with Paso Fino horses, amassing friends from all over the world. Norman is the current President and delegate for Tennessee Valley Region for the Paso Fino Horse Association for 20+ years. Anyone who knows them can attribute a fond memory to being at Shady Creek, since it was not just stables but also a frequent place of gathering. The barn was notoriously filled with hard work, laughs, and an occasional party. In 27 minutes the 27 year old building flattened to rubble with nothing being able to be recovered, wreaking unfathomable loss for everyone and everything involved.

Trumpetta was the only horse to manage to escape the fire by breaking out of the stall. She's currently at Tennessee Equine in Nashville recovering.
