Many of you know our parents, whether through softball, church, school, community events, or simply their constant willingness to lend a hand.
They’ve spent decades giving back, showing up, and being there for others. Now, they’re in a season where they could use some extra support and encouragement.
In December, our dad was diagnosed with stage 4 sinus cancer at OHSU. He has since completed a grueling round of chemotherapy and radiation in Southern Oregon trying to stay close to home while also traveling to Portland for various follow up appointments. While we’re incredibly grateful for his progress, he’s not cancer-free yet. The aftermath of treatment has left him with lasting side effects that continue to impact his ability to work and move through daily life as he once did.
Throughout all of this, our mom has been his primary caregiver, attending every appointment, advocating for him, and managing his care with love and strength. And now, she's facing her own health journey, preparing for surgery to remove cancer and addressing her own new health diagnoses.
There’s still a long road ahead, with continued imaging and treatment follow-ups in Portland and other ongoing care needs. We’ve created this page as a space to share updates and for anyone who feels moved to offer help, whether that’s through a kind word, a share, or financial support toward travel, medical and everyday expenses.
We’re so grateful for the community that’s surrounded them all these years. Thank you for keeping them in your thoughts and for walking alongside them now.
With love and gratitude,
