Hi. I am Leticia Prince (Leticia Thomas) and I am creating this fund on behalf of my 3 brothers, Robert "Bunk" Thomas IV, Trebor "Tre" Thomas, Chris "Boo" Goode, and myself "Ticia" regarding the homegoing service of my mother, Margaret Elizabeth Thomas (Margaret Goode).

Our lives changed dramatically on May 13, 2025, as our mother and best friend departed this life and gained her wings as she went to be with the Lord. Margaret was hospitalized on April 7th at VCU Medical Center only to never return home, at least not to her physical residence in Chesterfield, VA, specifically Hilmar/Orchardhill, where our childhood home was purchased in 1985.

My mother was a dedicated mother and worker as she worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs for 31 years to support us until she retired in 2019. It was there she gained another family that she so dearly loved and admired. I was at my mother's bedside daily for a month, which was not a choice but a sacrifice, as she always sacrificed for us. That led to me losing one job and having to start a new one this week, so there is no PTO, bereavement, etc. We had faith and belief that she would come back home and continue to live, laugh, and love; however, God had other plans.

She made sacrifices until the very end, which unfortunately included us finding that there was a termination/waiver on a previously held life insurance policy as she may have required those funds for living expenses. Any donations will help us with funeral and burial costs. We loved our mother like no other, but the outpouring of calls, texts, emails, and messages are just a reminder of how much her light shined in this dark world. It would mean everything to us to be able to lay her to rest peacefully and to have her rest by her mother and father at Bermuda Memorial Park.

We have a very small family, and we are not in a financial position to do this on our own. There is no amount that is too small. We love each and every one of you that have shown love for us and for her and those that continue to do so. She will be greatly missed, and we will carry on her memory forever.
