We are reaching out today with heavy hearts on behalf of the TerBerg family to ask for your help and generosity in assisting our dear friend, Andy, his loving wife, Rebecca, and their sweet daughter, Isla, as Andy continues to battle an unimaginable cancer diagnosis.

In August of 2024, Andy received a life-changing diagnosis of testicular cancer. He bravely faced surgery and endured four grueling rounds of chemotherapy. For a short while, we all started to see a light at the end of the tunnel -- his scans looked promising, and he was considered in remission. We all celebrated with tears of relief, believing the worst was behind them.

But cancer is cruel.

Following the conclusion of his chemo treatments, Andy underwent major surgery at Indiana University Hospital in April 2025, with the intent to remove what was believed to be leftover tissue. Instead, the pathology revealed the cancer had rapidly spread - and it was aggressive.

Since then, Andy has been frequently in and out of the hospital, fighting to recover from a very invasive surgery, managing relentless, intense symptoms, all while enduring more rounds of chemo.

Rebecca and Andy have been working with doctors in both Kalamazoo and Indiana to determine the next steps of a treatment plan, testing out cycles of chemo and conducting scans to track progress. Despite every effort and every ounce of strength Andy has poured into this fight, his most recent scan results have unfortunately shown that Andy's cancer is not responding to treatment. The road ahead is uncertain, and the weight on this family's shoulders is unimaginable.

Andy has not been able to work since symptoms began in the summer of 2024, and with his work benefits expired, their family is now relying on a single income to get by - while also managing the crushing costs of treatment, travel, and care.

If you know Andy and Rebecca, you know how generous, kind, and selfless they are. They are the type of friends who show up without needing to be asked, the first to help others, and the last to ask for help themselves.
