When Harold Patz went missing in the lake, his family faced every family's worst nightmare: not knowing. Five dive and search teams answered the call — No One Left Behind K9 Search and Rescue, the Dickinson County Sheriff Dive Team, Middle Inlet Dive Team, Newbold Fire Department and Brown County Dive Team. They were on the water almost every single day for a week, working side by side and refusing to give up until they brought Harold home. Because of their persistence, the Patz family was able to lay their loved one to rest and begin to heal.

Recovery work like this is dangerous, exhausting, and expensive. These teams rely on donations and limited budgets to cover dive gear, sonar and drone equipment, K9 training and veterinary care, fuel, and the countless hours their members volunteer. When the worst happens, they show up — and this is our chance to show up for them.
