On March 21st, 2025, Alexis Tasby welcomed her beautiful baby boy, Henry, into the world. What should have been a day of pure joy quickly turned into one of unimaginable challenge. Just hours after giving birth, Alexis received a devastating diagnosis: cervical cancer. With a newborn in her arms and her loving husband Shandrick by her side, Alexis began a journey no mother should have to face.

Alexis and Shandrick are both passionate elementary educators who have dedicated their lives to shaping young minds and serving their community. Alexis is also the proud mom of a bright and energetic 16-month-old, Benjamin—affectionately known as "Benny" or "Ben." As she recovers from childbirth and begins treatment, Alexis is doing everything she can to stay strong for her boys. The road ahead includes medical treatments, frequent doctor visits, and time away from work, all while caring for a toddler and a newborn.
