Support the Taney Family's Healing Journey

There are no words to describe the amount of pain our family is going through at this time. Over the past four years, we have suffered one loss after another, with four members of the Taney family passing away—leaving us barely enough time to grieve. It is with great sadness that we now mourn the loss of another beloved member, my uncle, David Taney.

David Taney was a loving son, husband, father, uncle, and friend. He was an incredible man who deeply loved his wife and daughters. He and his wife, Billy Joe Taney, shared a beautiful commitment to each other. They were best friends and proud parents of three daughters: Rebecca Taney, Rachel Taney, and their adopted daughter, Madilyn Crenshaw (their niece). Over the years, David and Billy Joe also opened their home and hearts to anyone in need. Even when they had little to give, they made everyone feel as though they had received the world.

Although David achieved many successes in life, his greatest accomplishment was being married to Billy Joe and raising their three beautiful girls. He was a brilliant electrician, and in his spare time, he loved hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. He cherished creating lasting memories with his family and friends. David had the most infectious laugh that could light up a room and a smile that radiated warmth from afar.

In his later years, a work injury affected his ability to continue working and providing for his family. As his health declined, his wife and daughters devoted themselves to caring for him and each other.

David’s passing comes shortly after the loss of his mother, father, and sister, who were only recently laid to rest. It feels as though there hasn’t even been enough time to breathe.

We are now reaching out for help from anyone willing to alleviate the financial burden this tragedy has placed on the family. This is an overwhelmingly difficult time, and any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us.
