Support the Talbert Family

Hello, my name is Jeff Zeigler and I am the brother of Jennifer Talbert and brother-in-law to Chip Talbert. I'm also the proud uncle to their two awesome boys - Matthew, who is a sophomore in high school and wants to go into business like his father, and Josh who just finished his school in Texas last year that specialized in children with Autism.

Chip and Jenny moved from Houston, TX to sunny St. Petersburg, FL to pursue a new opportunity and start their own business. Everything had been going so well with the move, the transition to new schools and new experiences for the kids, and the start of their business until Hurricane Helene showed up off the coast of Florida. This storm pushed between 5-10 feet of storm surge into Tampa Bay without any warning to residents or plausible reason for it even happening. It truly was a freak storm! The Talbert's home was inundated with water that battered the inside of their home for hours destroyed most all of their possessions and washed away priceless pictures, documents, and memories. Everything they own was submerged in the water. Then a couple weeks later Hurricane Milton show up and did more damage. FEMA has not been of much assistance to them either.

It's been over a month, and they are still displaced from their home until repairs can be made and it's safe to move back into the house. When I say everything has been lost, I truly mean everything. All furniture, food, appliances, clothes, cars, family pictures, and the kids' beloved personal items have been destroyed; many of their things literally floated away with the receding waters. The tough part about this is that much of the immediate family also lives in the area affected and are dealing with their own losses, as well.

I may be biased because I'm family, but if you ask anyone they know or have ever met - including all of Chip's customers - all would reiterate the same thing: the Talbert's are incredible, wonderful, kind, supportive human beings that would stop what they were doing to lend a helping hand. The displacement has really taken a toll on each of them mentally, physically, and emotionally. Sadly, the Talbert's are not the only ones living this nightmare, as this has been a very trying time for everyone affected by the utter destruction of the storms.

They would never agree to this idea because they are usually the family helping others out, but this is such a time of need for Chip, Jenny and the boys, and they really could use some prayers, love, and support.
