Support the Tahoe Titans After Today’s Tragedy

This morning, our 12U baseball team — the Tahoe Titans — was doing what small-town kids do best: working hard and supporting each other.

The boys were selling Tahoe Truckee Jerky outside Safeway to help raise money for their upcoming trip to Cooperstown All-Star Village in New York. By 2:00pm, they had proudly raised $2,000 toward their dream.

Then the unthinkable happened.

A man drove his truck into the table and ran over the boys and moms. Two boys and one mother were struck and transported by ambulance to the hospital. We are still waiting to learn the full extent of their injuries.

Our hearts are heavy. This simply does not feel real. This is our small town. These are our kids.

Right now, our focus is on supporting the injured players and their families.

The Tahoe Titans are more than a baseball team — they are brothers, friends, classmates, and part of this community.
