Support the Swans Through Caleb's Recovery

Donation protected
A week ago we didn't know if Caleb would survive the day. Septic with Influenza B, his organs were shutting down. Within hours of walking into the emergency room, doctors put Caleb into a medical coma, on a breathing machine, and on multiple medications to keep his blood pressure above the minimum level. Dialysis was soon required as well. Incredibly scary!

Many, many prayers have been answered since! After 5 days, Caleb was flown to a hospital in Portland specializing in treating people with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Caleb is still in a coma, but his vitals have improved significantly and the medical team has begun the process of waking him up.

Caleb is expected to need hospitalization for a month or longer. Once released, he will need several more months of recovery before being strong enough to resume regular activities and return to work.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to cover the costs the Swan family are incurring as a result of Caleb's illness, including medical expenses not covered by insurance, out-of-pocket charges to be in Portland, and the loss of income.

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." -Paul (Galatians 3:6)
