Support the Stokes After Fire Loss
Donation protected
On April 9th, 2025, around midnight, the barn that has been in the Stokes family for generations tragically caught fire and ended in a complete loss around 4 AM. Many things were lost, including, but not limited to, 40 chickens, two lawn mowers, a snow blower, a friend's brand new motorcycle, all of our child's summer toys (bounce house, splash pad, trampoline, floating tubes), shelving for our home, and our water hauler that we utilize to refill our fresh water well.
Our blanket coverage on our insurance policy was the only thing that was applied to reimburse any of the loss. It helped, but minimally at best. The structure itself, unfortunately, was excluded from the policy due to the age of the building. The insurance paid less than half of the fire bill and will not pay for cleanup services. Our blanket coverage will not be enough to cover the cost of all that we lost.
Every little bit helps! Thank you for reading our story and supporting us through this tragic time. ❤️
