We love the music we make and we would love to make more of it for you!!
The South Austin Moonlighters have a new batch of songs and we are looking forward to getting back in the studio!
In 2018, we went to Maurice, Louisiana, and recorded at the World Famous Dockside Studio under the guidance of Anders Osborne. With Anders at the helm of the music, we partnered with StationHouse Records for distribution, promotion, and radio outreach. The culmination of this group effort was the 2019 release, “Travel Light.” That record soared to #1 on the Alternative Country Charts under the strength of the #11 single “Machine Gun Kelly.” We are very proud of this first national release campaign and we are reuniting the amazing team that helped bring “Travel Light” to life for our next release.
Our passion for the music we make has never been stronger, and our desire to strive for the best in our performances and songwriting has never wavered.
Here is the plan and the breakdown:
The Dockside studio costs is $900/day. This covers the room, the gear, the engineer, and our lodging. We have the studio blocked out for the week of Oct 13-18 for recording and basic mixes, totaling $5400 for the week.
We have also worked out a fee worthy of Anders' skill and time. This will cover his direction from start to finish, overseeing the recording of the songs, the mixing and mastering.
We will need an additional $5-6000 to mix ($300/song), master ($2k), and print/package the album, as well as cover the artist fee for designing the jacket/appearance.
All in, we’re looking for $20-25,000 to get this batch of songs recorded at the highest quality and delivered with the best intentions.
We wanted to reach out and let you know we appreciate your support over the years and that NONE of this has been possible without your help. We are very grateful to have friends and family like you, and we hope to see your smiling faces very soon.
Thank you!
