Support the Socha Family in Their Time of Loss

On March 18, 2025, the Socha family lost their son and brother, Avery, to a senseless act of violence in New London, CT. Avery was only 20 years old. Since then, the family has been reeling from the devastating loss while the demands of normal life have continued. Allison, Avery's mother, is a beloved second-grade teacher in New London public schools not far from the location where Avery was killed. Understandably, Allison has been unable to return to teaching since Avery passed.

Losing Avery has not only caused a wave of emotional devastation, both inside and outside the family, but the family has been hit with a number of unexpected expenses. The Socha family is a pillar of the southeastern CT community and their extensive connections in the area are a testament to their generosity and kindness towards others. We are hoping to return the favor and asking for any support our family and friends can provide at this difficult time.
