Support the Simpson Family and Cancer

We're the Simpson family and we need your help. I'm Michelle and my daughter is April and my granddaughter is Addyson. April was diagnosed with two very rare diseases which has led us to needing your help. She was diagnosed with Neuromyelitis Optica in 2016 four months after having her daughter. This disease falls under MS, but is more aggressive. She was numb over 95% of her body and lost the ability to walk. It took 8 months to relearn how to walk on her own. With each flare up, she loses some mobility or strength in her limbs. Then in August 2018, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Sezary Syndrome which is a blood cancer that attacks her skin. I worked full-time during both diagnoses while taking care of both of them. Since November 2018, I retired early to take care of them as my daughter began her weekly photopharesis treatment and biweekly chemo treatment.
We live in Arlington, TX and have to drive to Dallas for all her treatments as there are only two hospitals capable of treating her cancer in the metroplex area and they're both in Dallas which is a 30 minute drive. With all the medical expenses, fees for parking at the hospitals, food while at each treatment, my normal household bills, daycare bills, car payments and mortgage payments. We have gone through all my retirement and saving account funds by the end of May 2019. Personally, I have been without medical insurance since June 2019. I tried to find a job for months last year until the end of September 2019. By this time, my mortgage company told me that I didn't qualify for payment assistance because I just got hired as a substitute teacher.
While I am blessed and grateful to have the job to help pay the household bills, it does not afford me the ability to pay my mortgage along with my bills to keep the household going. I've been given a letter from my mortgage company that they are going to foreclose on our home by the end of February 2020. We have lived in our home for almost 12 years now. I am writing because the struggle as a caregiver to my only child while trying to care for everything else is taking its told and now to be told that we are losing our home if I don't pay the full past due amount plus fees for their lawyer and late fees. I'm reaching out to you because it's not fair to have to lose your home while trying to beat cancer.
This experience has changed our lives completely and we never thought we would be on government assistance at this point in our lives, but we are and we have survived with the grateful help from charities in our area. We have since reached our limit on what we can request from those charities. Any amount of donations can help us and we are so appreciative for your help.
I'm currently looking for a better job to help pay for everything, but have been unsuccessful. I've got a Masters degree in Psychology along with a LCDC Counselor Intern certification. If you know of a position that will provide on the job training, please let me know.
Thank you so much for your help,
The Simpson Family
