Support the Shuford Family After Hurricane Helene

The devastation that Hurricane Helene left behind is unprecedented. The loss of life, the loss of homes, the loss of businesses and livelihoods is heartbreaking. The Shuford Family of Burnsville, NC is no exception. They lost the family business of Shuford Automotive to the unimaginable forces of flood waters from Little Crabtree Creek that turned into a raging river. Over three decades of hard work to build a business respected in the community lost in a matter of minutes. Hundreds of thousands of dollars of tools and machinery used to repair cars, in addition to 14 vehicles that were currently being repaired, were all destroyed in the flood waters.
