I’m calling on your aid for a very close and dear family to me and so many others. The Shaw family has recently faced several challenges that have left them in dire need of our help.
On October 26th, tragedy struck the Shaw family. Joni Shaw — beloved wife to Jimmie and mother to Forrest, Hunter, and Easton — suffered a sudden seizure and remained completely unresponsive for nearly two weeks while on life support. Despite exhaustive efforts, Joni sadly passed away on November 8th.
Doctors had performed extensive testing, including blood work, spinal taps, MRIs, CAT scans, and EEGs, but no clear cause was ever found. This unexpected loss has left the family heartbroken and searching for answers while trying to navigate the days ahead.
Outside of this tragic event, the Shaws have endured several other trials that have made their situation even more difficult. Earlier this year, Joni’s son Forrest returned home from a missions trip in Africa and battled malaria for several weeks. Soon after, both he and his father Jimmie were laid off from their jobs due to the slowing economy in the construction industry.
Although both recently found new work, the family’s time and resources have been stretched thin through hospital stays, lost income, and now funeral expenses. The financial burden has become overwhelming as they face this heartbreaking loss.
If you feel led to give, any amount — large or small — would be a tremendous blessing to the Shaw family during this difficult time. Above all, they ask for your continued prayers for comfort, peace, and strength as they grieve the loss of a beloved wife and mother.
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.”
