Help Bring Haimanot Home:
On February 25, 2024, a 9-year-old Israeli girl named Haimanot Kesao was kidnapped from the absorption center in Tzfat, Israel. Since that day, she has not returned home. While children across Israel will soon return to school on September 1st, Haimanot is still missing.
To raise awareness and demand her safe return, we are creating a public art installation on Thursday, August 28, at Habima Square in Tel Aviv.
At the center of the installation will be a giant teddy bear, blindfolded and with its mouth covered, representing Haimanot’s silence and captivity. The bear will be dressed with a school backpack, pencil case, and school supplies—symbols of the school year she is missing.
Around the installation, we will distribute flyers, stickers, and t-shirts with Haimanot’s name and story, to ensure that thousands of people see her and understand that one child is still not free.
The family is now seeking donations of:
A large teddy bear (1.5–2 meters)
A new backpack suitable for a young girl
New school supplies (pencil case, notebooks, stationery)
Every contribution helps us create a powerful message:
All children in Israel are starting school—except one.
Please stand with us. Help make sure no one forgets Haimanot, and help us demand her safe return.
We had the honor of meeting Haimanot’s parents and family and learning more about them and their beautiful daughter who went missing. We are also trying to raise funds to help the family with advertising, investigative, mental health support, and lawyer fees. They moved to Israel and made Aliyah in 2020 from Ethiopia as that was their biggest dream. Now all they wish for is to bring Haimanot home, and they need our help.
B”H you can help bring Haimanot home.
100% of all donations go to Haimanot’s family.
