We are the Schmid Family of 5 located in southwest Florida my name is Christine 39 yrs old & is proud & honored to introduce my better half Hans whom is a Veteran of the US Marine Corp & hard working whom spends his career saving those in need and responding to make sure he can help in anyway even to save lives, hes selfless and so dedicated our hero, the best Daddy to our 3 miracles & blessings, our 1st born son named after him Hans who just turned 5 our 2nd born son who just turned 4 years old & our newest addition after two miscarriages & three years of trying our Daughter Giavanna 10 months old. We prayed for this family our health and our beautiful home which we started our family in brand new 2019 build. Since then we have celebrated each new addition to our family welcoming & bringing them home to their nursery a new room built for each baby made years of memories of them growing, each door has their iches of milestone & growth, through each year we celebrated all our holidays, some found ones were our engagement in our living room on Christmas, our babies gender reveals in our home, each room has a story but the ones that mean the most are seeing our babies first steps. The home cooked meals, Watching them play & sleep & how excited they were to get their big boy rooms & for me to build our dream baby nursery for a baby girl our princess after having many losses we saw all our prayers answered, our visions come to life & lived them each day, Grateful everymorning & everynight for the roof over our head & health. For those who know me I live for my family & Hans provides us with the best he can In these hard times long days and nights away to make sure we have this home roof over our head food & safety. We are not inherited anything everything we have worked for everything we own each item took years to get in saved hard working saved money or all gifts for the babies, heirlooms & irreplaceable item's & always fix everything with blood sweat & tears, we don't just replace but cherish our life, family belongings and never take it for granted, including this home our first home our only home we kept well maintained & close to model home for our kids to live a clean healthy life.

Unfortunately we are devastated & heartbroken all our memories will remain we stay strong in our faith which ia a source of strength during this time. On Thursday June 5th we left for a few hours and return that afternoon to our home completely flooded damaging everything & everyroom we built for our babies. We don't know how it started as we are seeing it maybe the foundation or hidden leak unknown until insurance let's us know which won't be until next week, after being accessed they cannot determine if we are covered for anything or living arrangements. Having 3 kids no water, not able to wash bottles, wash clothes, & stay in these conditions the internal home is ovweheating due to the dehumidifiers and dryers running nonstop to try to dry out the damaged areas before mold builds plus in the hottestpoint if summer. This is not a place we can function with a infant and toddlers. This will be a long year or longer to rebuild or possibly lose our home while still paying our mortgage that we are not in and don't have any funds at the moment to salvage our belongings in a storage unit or pod for weeks or months or years. We don't have a place to relocate at the moment as we need to be near by to start repairs if that is something we are even able to do through insurance which they aren't letting us know if we will be covered to relocate as of this weekend our infant is starting to overheat and rashing its loud to sleep on our couch as a family of 5 in mid summer and going into hurricane season if we have more rain we may lose everything else we have personal due to a sink hole or home completely flooding again until they figure this out we plead pray and ask if anyone or anything will help as even at my lowest I would never ask for help I know having a family of 5 is not something I am even thinking of doing interrupting other peoples lives for months or years we need our own space to continue to live day to day not burdening others with our unforseen circumstances. A those whom reached out or called thank you.We need help for food, housing, storage the basics, we may be liable for repairs lost property we lost everything and pray we can come back from this so our kids aren't affected with such sadness of the lose of their belongings and rooms that we called our safe space our home sweet home we pray. Experiencing something to this magnitude & the loses as an adult is one thing but when it comes to babies and your own kids there is no words seeing all your memories and hard work destroyed but an unforeseen issue is devastating Thank you for standing with our family during this time the funds will be contributed to maintaining household expenses & a long journey of rebuilding thank you all for giving us hope.
