I'm reaching out on behalf of one of our beloved hockey families who are going through an unimaginable time.

On Friday, April 25th, Darek Sawiak—devoted husband, father of three, and cherished member of our community—suffered a massive stroke. He was rushed to the hospital in London, Ontario, where he has since undergone two surgeries. Darek is currently in critical care and facing a long and uncertain road to recovery.

His wife, Kasia, is now navigating this crisis while caring for their three children and managing the many emotional and financial challenges that come with such a life-altering event.

This GoFundMe is to support the Sawiak family through the days, weeks, and months ahead. Funds raised will go toward travel costs, childcare, lost income, medical expenses, and any unforeseen needs that arise during Darek’s recovery.
