Support the Sanchez Family in Memory of José

Dear Friends and Family,

It is with heavy hearts that we share our beloved José de Jesus Sanchez passed away on August 13, 2025. He was surrounded by love in his final moments, held in the arms of his wife, Diane Rodriguez, and his two sons, Cesar and Draven Sanchez, at their family home. Throughout his life, and especially during his battle with cancer, José’s faith in God deepened and gave him the strength to face each day with courage and grace. We also find comfort in knowing he is now at peace, embraced by the love of Christ. We are deeply grateful for your support —your prayers, kind words, and generous donations mean more than words can express during this difficult time.

About José Sanchez

José was born on October 17, 1975, in Guadalajara, México. When he was five years old, he moved to Chicago, which became his new home. He was the youngest son of Coty Sanchez and grew up with his siblings, Enrique, Elizabeth, Cesar, and Vianney.

From a young age, José was known for being shy, kind, and intelligent. He had a special love for music and would often sing for his family; his favorites included songs by Chepilín and "Stand by Me" by Ben E. King.

In his 20s, José met Diane Rodriguez, and together they built a beautiful life. They welcomed two sons, Cesar Adam in 2000 and Draven Alejandro in 2010. José will be remembered as a brave, admirable, and loving father. He found joy in the simple things, spending time with his wife and boys, fishing, gardening, and shooting hoops.

Though we feel a deep sadness in his passing, we hold onto the hope that he is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who passed before him—his big brother Enrique, his cousin Jesse, his uncle Salvador, aunt Adelina, and his grandparents Mercedez and Salvador.
