The opening of the salon — from finding the perfect location through our amazing landlord, to the endless hours of construction, and putting the finishing touches on by finding the perfect mirrors and chairs — was an absolute labor of love. It’s exactly the salon we had always dreamed of opening. From opening day, we have made it a priority to not just make people look fantastic, but to educate them. Throughout the year, we host different events for our stylists and our clients to inform them on how to use products, and to keep them up to date on all the latest hair and skin products that might be beneficial to their styling, their looks, and their lives. We adore taking care of our community and the clients of The Salon By Robert Lupo — it’s honestly our favorite part of everything we do here. We’re truly committed to providing all of our clients the best artistry, creativity, and experience a salon can give, by celebrating their beauty with them, and by supporting them inside and outside of the salon. The Salon By Robert Lupo is an atmosphere that personifies our stylists’ love of people, life, and beauty. So it goes without saying that we have missed our clients tremendously since our temporary closure on March 16 due to COVID-19. Due to state, county, and city health orders, salons are not able to conduct regular services at this time. They have recently given us the okay to provide hair services outside, which is thrilling! For outdoor services, we are of course proceeding with the utmost caution — wearing masks, sanitizing regularly, practicing social distancing when not directly performing services — for the health and safety of our beloved clients. We are still limited to only conducting services outside which limits our ability to perform all services at full capacity.  The exciting news is that we have extended our patio and run new electrical outside to accommodate three total outdoor hair stations! Of course, all of these necessary steps come at a cost. We have also been trying our best with all we have, given the current confines, to be creative in finding all avenues to bring in revenue through Root Touch-Up Relief kits, Personify Beauty Candles, Marie Veronique Skin Care, and other online hair care product sales. But our overall loss of income over the past five months has affected each of our families and is impacting the business as a whole. Between new costs for outdoor service, and the still very limited ability to perform services at full capacity, we find ourselves needing some help financially, which is why we’ve started this GoFundMe page. We've made every attempt to find resources and have unfortunately been unable to acquire a COVID disaster loan for small businesses. Quite frankly, we need your help to get us through this unprecedented crisis. We have been absolutely overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, concern, kind words and encouragement throughout the past few months. Many of you have asked how you can help.
