The Ross family lost their family home on May 7, 2025. At 8 AM, the house was fully engulfed in flames and was declared a total loss.
Missy had just left home for work and received numerous calls that her home was on fire.
Andrew was home alone at the time with their family dog and cat. Andrew tried putting out the fire and was able to get his dog out of the house. Their family cat is still missing.
Andrew sustained smoke inhalation and burns and was taken to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Thankfully, Andrew is now in Cheboygan along with his mom and is in dire need of a place to live long term with his mother and family dog.
Cindy, Missy, Lillian, and Andrew lost every material thing they owned and only had the clothing on their backs. Please know that the Salvation Army is only able to assist with 3 days of motel stay, and the local hotel has no openings and does not accept animals.
Please consider donating any amount to The Ross family as funds to secure housing along with furnishings and personal items.
This is a very difficult time for the entire family and the Insurance Company has not provided any financial assistance or support at this time.
The family is grateful for all of the thoughts and prayers received.
