Help the Rooks Family with Joey's Medical Expenses

It is with a heavy heart that I update the Rook's GoFundMe page with the news that Joey entered into eternal shalom on January 18, 2025 at 4:30pm EST. Thank you all so much for walking through this journey with The Rooks and for your ongoing support, prayers, and love. Rachel continues to receive medical bills from Joey's hospital stay, home health, cancer center, and hospice. The "goal amount" has been increased to reflect new totals that are slowly coming to light. Give as you feel led. Thank you for all the ways you have supported the Rooks family as they grieve the loss of Joey.

At the beginning of Nov 2024, Joey Rooks began experiencing much pain in his abdomen and back. After a trip to the PCP and then to the ER, a CT scan to the abdomen revealed a 6cm mass in the liver with some smaller lesions. A PET scan showed a mass and smaller lesions in the liver and a potential spot in the colon. A colonoscopy showed no area to biopsy in the colon (praise), but a liver biopsy revealed that he has stage 4 cancer of an unknown source. His medical team will be doing a few more tests to see if they can nail down where it's coming from-potentially the biliary system. Today, 12/5/24, Joey is being admitted to the hospital due to high bilirubin levels. If you feel so led to contribute monetarily to help offset the many medical bills the Rooks have already aquired, and will continue to aquire with many tests/scans/biopsies/hospital stays/possible surgery or chemo in the future, I KNOW that it would be much appreciated.
