Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-Hearted Strangers,

Hello, my name is Alex, and I would like to share my dad, Alejandro Rodela's, story. He was the father of four sons: Andres, Isaac, Alonso, and me. He was the wonderful husband to a wonderful wife, my mom Maria. Today, we are reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support in helping our family during this time of hardship and mourning.

About 3 weeks ago, our dad was taken to the emergency room because he had been struggling with numerous episodes of loss of balance in his lower extremities, dizziness, and migraines. Strange symptoms because he had suffered no injury to cause such effects. We received the most unimaginable news. My dad had been diagnosed with a large brain tumor, it had grown to be a quarter of his cranial space. This shocking diagnosis has brought overwhelming challenges to our family.

To ensure that he could obtain the best medical outcome, my dad was expected to undergo two difficult surgeries and several months if not years of extensive rehabilitation. Unfortunately, it wasn't even a possibility for my dad, the tumor triggered a stroke which ultimately took him away from all of us before he had a chance to recover. Sadly, our dad passed away on October 22 not having recovered from his coma.

This unreal tragedy has not only brought emotional restlessness to my family but has also placed a significant financial burden on us. As one can imagine, having this pillar ripped from us has greatly impacted our lives. As a family we've tried to unite and stay strong to move on, but it has placed a considerable financial load on us that it is difficult to navigate through.

As his oldest son, together with my brothers, we have stepped up to gather support for our dad during this incredibly difficult time. To help alleviate the financial pressure a GoFundMe account has been established to help cover medical and burial expenses
