Alex is my friend... and I love Alex!

Alex is a lot of people’s friend. Many people love Alex. He has an amazing way of making people feel comfortable and content. He loves music, he loves his friends, he loves conversations about aliens, he loves to talk about esoteric topics, he loves to read, and he loves to sit. Alex plants trees, for you and me and for everyone. Alex values personal connection and intimacy over material goods. Alex plays guitar and travels through the words of poets and pundits. Alex travels the world to find meaning in all things. Alex is weird, he likes weird things, and he says weird stuff. Alex is brilliant and open to all opinions and thoughts to gain further knowledge of any topic.  Alex will, to the best of his capacity, help whomever he can. A lot of people love Alex. Alex loves a lot of people.

We will be losing Alex in the physical form very shortly. He is off to debate in the big library on that big spaceship in the sky. He is currently in a coma in Vancouver, BC surrounded by his family and friends. Doctors say he has no brain activity, and he will not regain consciousness. Hard to imagine. I saw his lungs and chest cavity expand, touched his warm skin, and saw his body twitch. This isn’t right, but it’s real.

I put together this fundraiser for Alex's family, for Alex's bestfriend and for Alex. These funds will help with the travel costs for his loved ones who traveled from afar and help with the preparation to say goodbye to their son, bestfriend, and brother.
