This GoFundMe is to purchase equipment to install and support a scanner feed covering the Richmond, VA metro area. The feed will be located on a radio tower just east of Richmond and cover the greater Richmond Metro area, including the RF&P from Richmond through Ashland, the North End Sub from Richmond through Petersburg, the C&O James River and Rivanna Subs from Maiden to Lanexa, as well as the NS Richmond District, BBRR Piedmont Sub, as well as Acca Yard, Fulton Yard, and Collier Yard.

The feed will be installed sometime during the second week of December during a visit for a tower climb job, and will consist of an HP PC, SDRPlay RSP1B or Airspy R2 SDR, and some basic filtering to improve reception. The feed will share an existing antenna near the top of the 200' tower.

The feed will be available for free on Broadcastify, and all road & dispatcher channels will be on the feed, which will be accessible using any police scanner app, and premium access via Rdio Scanner will allow you to pick and choose what channels you want to listen to (including yard channels) as well as access 30-day archives on each channel.
