About the Film

The Rewrite is a short psychological thriller about perception, fear, uncertainty, and the terror of losing touch with reality. It builds through eerie tension, emotional unease, and atmosphere rather than traditional horror.

This story follows Bianca Lewis, a woman whose reality begins to shift after a mysterious discovery forces her to question her past, her memory, and her sense of self.

As strange details begin to surface, Bianca is pulled into a psychological unraveling that leaves her unsure of what is real and what has been rewritten.

The film explores memory suppression, dissociation, trauma responses, and identity fragmentation. Healing begins not with forgetting, but with remembering.

Jerley Jean is a multidisciplinary filmmaker from Philadelphia with an MFA in Film & Television and an MBA in Entrepreneurship. Her work explores identity, emotional resilience, and the quiet moments that shape who we become through psychologically grounded storytelling.

Candice Sarangay — Producer

Candice Sarangay specializes in writing and producing. With her MFA in Film & Television and an MBA in Entertainment Management, she has helped bring multiple short films, features, and documentaries to life. She possesses strong creative and producing experience that is an asset to any project.

Sofia Sioris — Producer and 1st AD

Sofia Sioris is a producer and 1st AD who earned her B.A. in Film and Electronic Arts from California State University, Long Beach. She has worked on multiple short film productions as a producer and assistant director, bringing experience in production management, scheduling, and coordinating teams to keep projects running smoothly from prep through production.
