On December 27th, 2024, Rosie's world was shattered with the sudden loss of her beloved husband, Mariano. This devastating loss has left Rosie, along with her two children, Mariana and Santiago, not only grieving the love of their lives but also facing unforeseen challenges ahead.
This was the worst day of our lives... Our sweet, sweet father, husband, son & brother suffered an unexpected and very severe intracranial hemorrhage. He bled out faster than anyone could help him and by the time he made it to the hospital, there was nothing anyone could do. The bleed was located directly in the center of his brain, making it inoperable and damaging his brain stem.
After being days in the ICU on life support and showing no signs of brain activity, my father rested in comfort care with us by his side until his last breath.
Mariano was more than just a husband and father; he was a friend, a provider, and the heart of the family. He worked tirelessly to support his loved ones and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His infectious smile, unwavering support, and the love he gave will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
As Rosie navigates this incredibly difficult time, she is also facing the financial burdens that come with losing a partner. The loss of Mariano has left a void that cannot be filled, and the financial strain adds another layer of stress as she continues to care for their children, Mariana and Santiago. Mariana recently graduated from Texas A&M University, and Santiago is a Sophomore in College with the dream of transferring to Texas A&M in the Fall of 2025.
While nothing can take the pain and sting of this tragic event except time and our Lord and Savior, we are reaching out to family, friends, and the community for help during this tragic time. The funds raised will go toward funeral costs, medical bills, and supporting Rosie, Mariana, and Santiago as they work to rebuild their lives. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a very significant difference.
Please keep Rosie, Mariana, Santiago, and all other family members and friends who survive Mariano, in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your love, support, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
Note: The funds will go directly to Rosie.
