Support Release Of New Solo Album

Donation protected
Hey,

Some of you may know my work already, some may not.

I've been creating records and performing across the world for over fifteen years, involving three big European tours and the release of over ten records.

For the most part these have been self-released as the streaming era has made labels somewhat risk-averse leading to a shurnken economy for smaller and more espteric artists. Those who know my work will recognise that it doesn't readly sit in any genre, the unifying thread being that it's very much built around song craft.

After last year's Kanda Teenage Honey I didn't expect to be making another record so quickly, but apparently that's how I roll. The new record is called On The Eve Of Hope and I know it to be amongst my best work yet.

Last autumn I acquired a harpsichord, with which I'm deeply in love, and which enjoys a prominent presence on the record. I also got to record in Vintage Keys Studio in Wiltshire, which availed me of access to over ten rare analogue keyboard instruments and an ondes-martenot (much favoured by Radiohead on Kid A, etc). So the album could be said to sonically be an exploration of keyboard instruments across the centuries - all very much analogue.

It's an album of love songs to the notion of love itself - I figured in such fractious global times we could all do with messages of love and hope.

With my vigilant hyperfocus on lyrics, I intend to release the album as a limited edition, deluxe 40-page book with artwork and illustrations - with a CD tucked inside the rear cover.

I've appealled to labels regarding a double-vinyl release, thus far to no avail. But in the meantime I want to issue this beautiful art object.

And I would deeply appreciate your help in doing so. Funds raised will go towards the physical manufacture, and also towards commissioning video directors and promotion.

On The Eve Of Hope is eighteen songs of deeply emotive and sonically progressive strangeness - at once accessible and exotic.

Thank you all so much for reading, and to all who already support me in my life as a professional modern troubadour - being a freelance creative artist in 2025 can be an uphill struggle so every piece of kindness from all and any of you makes so much difference.

Let's get this record out into the world!
