Support the Recovery of Our Backyard Friend

Story

Now Streaming his rest and recovery 24/7 to the best of my abilities https://www.twitch.tv/hammercannons Hi, my wife and I have had a cute visitor for the last few years in our backyard. He liked to sleep on our furniture and avoid the weather. This morning, 4/20/25, I noticed him cleaning himself on our furniture and then saw something wrong with his back right leg. Normally, when he sees us, he runs away. This morning, he slowly got off the chair and came to my sliding window. He proceeded to lay down in the backyard and roll. This gave us a better view of his injury. I thought it was mange; he was looking thin and moving slow. My wife put food out for him, and he was clearly very hungry. She then went out and sat on the step with a pet carrier. He came over and let her look at his wound and pet him. She put the food in the carrier and soon he walked in. He was calm and laid down. We took him to the emergency vet. He is not chipped and we don't know if he has a home. The vet visit was expensive and we're hoping to get him a bigger kennel for the long recovery ahead. He was underweight, had worms, had been bitten which got infected and abscessed. We don't know what we're doing with this gentle guy yet, but we know we want him healthy and happy. any excess donations to the cost of his recovery will be donated to Cat Angel's https://catangelsnc.org/donate a no kill shelter I heard of from Gamers nexus YouTube channel.
