Six months ago, I started The Recession Chef to help people save a little money in the kitchen. What began as a small project has grown into a caring, supportive community that I’m incredibly proud to be part of.

Recently, a close friend sent me $100 and said, “Use this to help someone who needs it.” That simple gesture sparked an idea — and The RC Fund was born.

The goal is simple: to help ease grocery costs for people who are struggling.

If you need help, you’ll send an email to the RC Fund and tell me a little about your situation.

If you qualify, we’ll set up a short call to go over the details.

After that, you’ll do your regular grocery shopping and send me a photo of your receipt. I’ll reimburse as much as I can based on the funds currently available — we’ll also discuss that during the call so you’ll have a clear idea of what to expect as far as reimbursement amount.

I know this won’t solve everything, but if we can lighten the load for even a few people, that’s a start. This community has always shown up for each other — now we have a chance to make that impact even bigger.
