Ragsdale's IVF Journey

Everyone who knows us, knows that this isn't the easiest thing for us to do. We're not one to keep everyone updated on social medias, or post photos, so this is hard for us to ask all of y'all. Brian and I have been married for almost 15 years now, and have been struggling for the last 12 years to conceive and grow into a family that consists of more than just us and our fur babies. After watching our friends grow families, and being able to be part of all of their children's lives, from being the aunts and uncles they never knew they needed, to the godparents of others, we have decided to take the next step so we can have the joy that we see they have everyday.

After speaking with the doctor, our only true hope of having children of our own is to proceed with IVF. Our insurance does not cover anything when it comes to infertility treatment, and therefore we are looking at up to $14,000 in medical costs that are due up front before the process can begin, along with the time that goes into the treatment and doctors visits. We know there is no guarantee that this will work, but the doctor is hopeful that IVF will be a success on our first round, and we are hoping to start this journey to welcome a bundle of joy in the next year or so depending on how long this process takes.

We know there isn't always the option to donate, and there is no amount too big or too small to help us out, we know that everyone has their own stories, but we would be forever thankful to each and everyone that is willing to donate or even read and share our story. Every single one of you have a special place in our hearts, and we will be forever grateful while we move forward on this journey. We are hoping to start the process before the end of 2024 so we can enjoy our new family by Summer of 2025.
